Published Nov 20, 2018Eiko Ishibashi just released her new?Jim O'Rourke-featuring album The Dream My Bones Dream, and now the Japanese pop futurist is showing it off with a new video for its "Iron Veil."
The clip for the dark and moody track follows a generational travelogue that was inspired by an unknown time in her late father's youth, when Ishibashi's grandfather was a railman in occupied Manchuria. On screen, this plays out via a train-geared clip, complete with some purple haze leading us — or perhaps losing us — along the way.
You can watch the video for "Iron Veil," which like the rest of the new album was mixed by O'Rourke, down below.
The Dream My Bones Dream is out now in North America via Drag City following a domestic Japanese release earlier this year. It marks Ishibashi's sixth solo album overall and the proper follow-up to 2014's Car and Freezer.
